On February 22, 2025, the Kick-off meeting of the “IMPACT” project was held at the Sports Association of the City of Zagreb. The project brought together representatives from Softball Club Princ, the Sports Association of the City of Zagreb, and Softball Club Joudrs from the Czech Republic. Funded through the Erasmus+ Sport program with a budget of €30,000, the project aims to empower young athletes through structured mentoring, skill development, and the use of digital tools for learning.
Petra Čižmić Pokrajac and Tihana Županić thoroughly presented the activity plan, the roles of all partners, the key project objectives, and the main features of the new platform for mentors and their education.
On behalf of the Sports Association of the City of Zagreb, Miroslav Hrženjak and Eleonora Kovač addressed the participants, emphasizing that through this project and mutual collaboration, sports communities will be strengthened, and the skills of young athletes will be enhanced at the international level, with a focus on intergenerational cooperation, knowledge transfer, and mutual support.
