From 4-6 April 2025., in cooperation with the softball Club Špansko Panthers, Softball Club Princ Zagreb organized the 2nd “PlayBall” international tournament for seniors and juniors. A total of 10 teams from 4 countries participated. Teams from Croatia were Panthers (the host), Span and Giants and the tournament also hosted teams from the Czech Republic (Joudrs A, Joudrs juniors, Pikes, U18 CZK NT and Sever Brno), Italy (Storm) and Great Britain (The Hawks).
With a sunny weekend on Jarun, a total of 27 exciting games were played, which were filled with tension and excellent sports performances. Among the teams that faced each other on the field, there was a spirit of sportsmanship, but also fair play, which resulted in some truly unforgettable matches and gave the opportunity to the youngest team in the tournament (The Hawks) to play with older and more experienced teams and gain new experiences for the future.
The Joudrs A won the first place in the tournament, the Storm won the second place, while the Joudrs juniors took third place.
This year’s “PlayBall” tournament was not only an opportunity to compete, but also to promote international cooperation, sportsmanship and friendship between teams from different countries. We are proud to have hosted this incredible sporting event and look forward to continuing the tradition in the coming years.
