Princ team participated in the Alpinestars international tournament in Italy, held from March 13 to 15. The tournament featured 8 teams from Croatia, Hungary, and Italy, serving as an important test ahead of the new season.
After recording two wins and one loss in the group stage, Princ finished second in the group and advanced to the semifinal against Thunders, the top team from the other group, who eventually went on to win the tournament.
Despite a strong and determined performance, Princ suffered a loss and moved on to the third-place game against the home team Stars.
Princ opened the game in excellent form, collecting hits and showing confidence at the plate. However, several defensive errors resulted in a 4:4 tie after the first inning.
The team responded well and managed to tie the game again at 7:7 in the third inning. Unfortunately, heavy rain interrupted the match, and due to unplayable field conditions, the organizers decided to end the game, meaning Princ and Stars shared third place.
Over the course of the tournament, the team played five games in just a day and a half, which represents a demanding schedule but also valuable experience. Princ travelled with a young roster, including only a few senior players and mostly older cadets, making this result and performance even more significant.
